It's the Lisa Renley Interview Experience!
She's played a self-mutilating love junkie, a flipper baby, and a girl dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (for no reason). She's our favorite leading lady of the off-center and strange. She's Lisa Renley, longtime onetime star for Milwaukee's home of controversial comedy, Blanc Screen Cinema, and she was kind enough to sit down with Garrett Gilchrist for one hella honest and funny interview, where in three parts you'll find out more about Lisa than is probably healthy to know. Find out why she wants to throw a slumber party for amateur comedy. Find out why she can't watch her own movies. Find out why she's gladly going to hell. Find out about the soon-to-be-released Clowns and Suicide .... and the movie she's working on now, which isn't Blanc Screen, and it's a drama. There are a lot of surprises in this interview, folks. Dig it. The Lisa Renley Interview Experience.

Transcend Entertainment presents: QUIT
We are proud to present a new short film by Transcend Entertainment's Jason Gutierrez - QUIT (8 min, 32 MB, Realplayer). Jason ("Vigilante" in the forums), is a veteran cinematographer of such films as "Guilt" and "Gods of Los Angeles," and known for his great, painterly lighting and visual style. I'm glad to be able to present his recent work here. Quit tells the story of a man giving up his habit for love, while unable to cope the reality of his addiction. For screen grabs, hack into Jason's webspace here: QUIT screen grabs. This is the third of Jason's recent batch of short films, and one he happens to like more than the others. It's here only at FF. Enjoy. Transcend Entertainment's QUIT (8 min, 32 MB, Realplayer).

New Writer: Donald Washington!
We are always pleased to welcome new voices into our community. Certainly a different perspective on filmmaking can be gained from listening to an educated voice. Donald Washington is not a filmmaker, but he is a film enthusiast. A father of two and former lieutenant in the United States military, Donald has been a fan and supporter of our site and wished to chime in. Today he checks in with his with his opinion on the four aspects that make up a good film, with his article "The Poetics of Amateur Cinema." Enjoy.

New Article by David Ashe!
David Ashe attacks without mercy today. He's given us a new article, Use of "Real - Reel" Pun Opens Gates to Hell. It's action-packed excitement for the whole family. Mr. Ashe is indeed one powerfully amusing writer - oh my god he's too powerful he's killing everyone aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

It's Radio Man Live!
Oh dear. It's our own Radio Man, and he's live onstage, performing at USC's coffehouse and poet/musician hangout, GroundZero. Well, he's not so much performing as he's destroying the stage. Read all about it in the forums, or just watch Radio Man's first ever live performance! (8 mb, Realplayer) The story goes: Jason Gutierrez convinced Garrett to crash an open mic night ... he had no plan, no idea what to do, and as soon as he arrived he suddenly found himself onstage. He proceeded to wing it. Garrett calls it a terrible performance, but plans to do more and better in the future. And you get to see him accidentally steal and destroy some random person's guitar! Read the full story in the forums.

Hey kids! It's Squiffy the Derelict Cat!
Something's sure gonna happen! For FF members only, here comes a rare treat - a sneak preview of an animated cartoon by Garrett Gilchrist. It's Squiffy the Derelict Cat! (5.9 MB, Realplayer) Written by Jay Bauman and voiced by Garrett and Kara Dennison, this twisted tale of feline delinquence will appear in Jay's upcoming film "Clowns and Suicide," from Blanc Screen Cinema. But you cool cats and kittens get to watch it right now! Watch Squiffy get hit by a train! Watch him try to shoot a homeless man! Watch him solicit a prostitute, and do battle with a 300 foot tall politician! He'll be your favorite homeless loser. Something's sure gonna happen when you're with Squiffy the Derelict Cat!

New Radio Man Show: Radio Man Makes a Friend!!
For the lucky thirteenth episode of our questionably popular radio series, we did something a little different. Radio Man has always done his show alone ... there has never even been anyone else in the room. Well, this time, someone randomly showed up. And it seems like Radio Man has accidentally gotten himself a sidekick. Can the world survive a Radio Man show built for two? Find out in FF Radio episode 13, Radio Man Makes a Friend! (20 min., 10 mb, Realplayer) Adlibbed as usual by Garrett Gilchrist, this ep guest-stars Jason Gutierrez of Transcend Entertainment. It also contains the most mindblowing musical number yet heard in a Radio Man episode, "The Dented Dime Song!" If this is your first time listening to Radio Man, check out all the previous episodes at our FF Radio website.

Fastforward Presents: Even More Junk From Junk!
What, MORE shorts from K. Shawn Edgar and Junk Productions? We've been getting one a day of this Junk all week. Well, good to know at least somebody around here is busy. Hey folks, you saw it here first - no really you did. Fresh from the fryer, it's The Polymer Chicken (16 MB, Realplayer) starring Alan Winston and Warren Blyth ... then watch as Warren meets K Shawn and Your End of the World (20 mb, Realplayer) ... and then take a trip with Kshawn and The Fallen Beast & the Roadkill (21.0M, Realplayer). Once again, these bite-size morsels of simplicity were put together fast from other people's scripts for Warren Blyth's series of Gauntlet short films connecting filmmakers across the Net, Random Eyes. And yes, there's still more coming. A warning - The Polymer Chicken is my favorite of this batch definitely, but if you don't want your mind scarred you may want to shut it off when the closing titles start, as the credits contain simulated male nudity. Yay! With guest director Sean Waldow.

Transcend Entertainment Presents: 3 Times a Day
With joy and fear in our hearts we present the first of Jason Gutierrez's recent batch of short films. 3 Times a Day (33 MB, Realplayer) is a silent, largely black and white piece in which, on the surface, very little happens. A couple eats dinner, quietly. But underneath lurks depression and darkness, and a hint of what some people will do to retain the illusion of inner stability. So, dinner and drugs. As with all of Jason's work, I'd like to give special attention to the lighting. That's some good cinematographin' there. You should definitely check this out. We're directing you to the official website, where you can also see screen grabs from the project. 3 Times a Day (33 MB, Realplayer).

The Jedi 6 Interview: Warren Blyth beats up Alan Winston!
It was supposed to be a normal, standard-issue sort of promotional interview for Alan Winston. He was there to talk about the film he's working on now, The Jedi 6, with his old friend and crewmember, Warren Blyth. But Alan had forgotten one thing: Warren is insane. Dangerously insane. And Warren was determined to make this something other than an ordinary promotional interview. It's the Jedi 6 Sellout Bitchfest! Watch as Alan does his best to promote his new movie like a normal filmmaker, while Warren acts less than impressed, says some peculiar things and generally tries to depress Alan in an effort to get more interesting answers out of him. The result is an interview that will tell you all you need to know about The Jedi 6, but will also surprise and confuse you. So, here it is .... Warren Blyth vs Alan Winston - The Jedi 6 Interview.

Update: Waiting on a Server Switch
Just thought I'd drop a little note here to apologize for all the problems the site has been having, and I'm sorry if you haven't been able to access the site when you've wanted to. If you've wanted to. The move has begun, as FFrevolution.com attempts to move over to a new server which we hope will work better. Most of our files have been uploaded to the new server, but for the time being we are still running off of the old, constantly-down server. We'll let you know when we switch over. More updates soon.

New Poster: CAT HAT LOL!
Cat. Hat. In French, Chat Chapeau. In an attempt to start a new fashion trend, we are proud to present CAT HAT LOL! Garrett discovered this image in a fashion magazine and reproduces it for you as a poster, greeting cards, all sorts of fun items you can purchase (we make no profit off this) and display in your home. It's a hairball of fabulousness! CAT HAT LOL!
