I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. Oh lord, please don't let me be misunderstood.
Dig me soul brothers and sisters, I see now what I did wrong. I see what I did to be punished by Rewind, and I am ashamed, I accept my penalties with grace. Still no one has shown up to my film festival, but I understand why now.
I understand that I moved too fast for you. I went too fast. Because this film festival has a mission, and it's a mission some of you might not be ready to accept.
I should have explained myself better before posting a piece of art so undeniably brilliant as the teapot video.
The truth of the teapot video is stark and realistic, and I can understand why it was too much for you to take without knowing what it stood for.
Today, I just want to take it down a notch. I am typing very fast. I have for the last two days not left this computer lab. I have been subsiding entirely on snacks bought out of the vending machines. I've been eating a lot of Skittles, and lemme tell you, Skittles are really good. They have fired up my brain in ways I didn't think possible, and although I sleep very little now I have amazing dreams. I don't need sleep when I have such thoughts. I had a dream last night which changed my life, and I want so badly to tell it to you, tell you that the mission of this festival has changed, but I have learned my lesson from the day 4 video. You weren't ready to understand that I was truly a little teapot, that the teapot and I were one, and you're not ready for this war yet either.
So today, there will be no tricks, no fancy editing, no big statements. I want to sit down very calmly and talk to you, simply and as slowly as I can manage, about what this festival means. My brain is firing on all cylinders now and I think I can make you understand ....
Please, for god's sake come to this festival! For god's sake help me! HELP ME! I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS EVIL PLACE!

I find this all terribly unfunny and a waste of time for a talented individual who should focus on editing his EPIC drama instead of carrying-on some (pointless?) crusade.
Or it could just be that I have no sense of humor, eh Garrett.

Ill first note that I have no idea what you guys are talking about (as pertaining to the "EPIC drama") but uh...that being said - surely you guys must understand the amount of energy that can and will go into a project? and uh...granted I know garret about as well as I know elvis - Ide have to say that if the studio's arnt nockin down his door demanding there film be finished - taking a break to err...start a revolution, will likely give him perspective on the "EPIC drama", as well as prevent his brain from frying.
not only that - be rather grateful that he can push pause and take a leak/grab a soda......or uh...huh?

Garrett is at work on a very, very ambitious drama/comedy/fantasy entitled "Gods of Los Angeles." It's a pretty fascinating screenplay, and from the clips I've seen, there is some rather good acting (walking hand-in-hand with some fairly rough camerawork and oddly-paced editing.) I think the movie will really show Garrett maturing both as a person and a moviemaker, but every time he goes putting on his "Garrett show" as Mike Stoklasa calls it, well... it's old and unfunny, confusing and aggrivating.
Garrett can be a very good moviemaker when he wants to be. I'm waiting for him to decide it's time to be one.

I gotta say... Day 5 pails in comparison to the monolithic Day 4... this is some sort of weird amalgamation of Quentin Tarantino and Woody Allen... with a lil of Mke Ray thrown in for good measure...
