Area Filmmaker Finally Saves Enough Money to Purchase a Camcorder March 31, 2004 - cm
Topeka, KS - Dirk Oppenheimer, the primary writer, director, producer, editor, and actor of "Dark Blood Entertainment Group," has finally saved up enough money to purchase a camcorder.
"I've finally bought my uncle's SVHS camcorder and now I can make my dreams come true! This is the most exciting moment for the past eleven years of my life!" Dirk commented.
Dirk remembered his humble beginnings, "When I was eight, I saw a segment on Entertainment Tonight about Tom Hanks. I knew then that filmmaking was my true calling and I formed the "Dark Blood Entertainment Group" to pursue my dream. For the past few years I’ve been doing a lot of prep work, asking amateur filmmakers what kind of camera they’re using, putting up several websites on GeoCities.com for my company. Now, the time has come for me to make my big move."
Dirk plans to begin production on his first feature film - a gore and blood thriller titled "Darker Blood."
Dirk explained: "Darker Blood is the second installment of a trilogy. The first installment is just too complex and awesome for me to do right now. Maybe I’ll do it in a few years when I got more skills."
Dirk's brother Eric has serious reservations about the project. "Hell, I can make a better movie by massaging my penis," Eric commented. "I mean, come on, what kind of fucking retard wants to see a fucking movie titled "Darker Blood?"
"I really doubt Eric can make a better movie," Nick Noland rebutted Eric’s negative comment. Nick Noland is Dirk and Eric’s longtime neighbor. "I’ve been secretly observing Eric massaging his penis for the last ten years and quite frankly, nothing resembled movies ever came out of his long, tender shaft."
Darker Blood will be the first feature film for Dirk’s eleven year-old company.
