Filmmaker Announces the Remake of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind March 29, 2004 - cm Buffalo NY - Tom Singler, of Weak Stomach Productions, announced today that he will remake "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." "I just watched this movie last night and I was really blown away. I thought 'hey I wish I could get the rights to remake this movie in like ten years.' Then I thought, 'wait a minute... why wait ten years to remake a movie?! Why not do it right away, when the original is still fresh in your head!?!?" said Tom. Tom credited the DV Revolution with enabling him to fully realize this ambitious project. "I'll bet there are already some Hollywood types thinking about remaking this movie. But while they're going through their bureaucratic corporate shit, I'm already making it," Tom stated. "That's the beauty of being small and independent. We have the freedom to react to the market quickly and efficiently. DV gives us the flexibility and speed we need on the set. DV cuts down the time-to-market on post production. We will have no problems outperforming our competitors who are shooting on film," Joseph Malcolm agrees. Joseph Malcolm is Tom's coworker and an aspiring filmmaker who has already written a one page treatment for an idea that's "too hot to share" with anyone. However, Joe let us in on part of his giant secret: "Let me give you a hint, ok. It's a remake of the hottest current box-office juggernaut about Jesus Christ." Tom will begin the principle photography of his remake of the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind tomorrow afternoon after all of his buddies get off work. Chris Mundane Reporting BACK ... |
